Excursion trains organized for student on special days such as MAY (CHILDREN) Day, Independence Day, Christmas Days and any other days as may be demanded by the various school.

The district also runs freight trains carrying different commodities for our various corporate customers as follows:
- Wheat from Apapa to Kano and Maiduguri for flour mills
- Cement from Apapa to Kaduna and Kano for Dangote Company
- Container from Apapa to Kaduna for ICNL
- Peugeot Cars from Apapa to Kaduna for Eddie International
- Coils from Apapa to Kaduna for Eddie International
- Petroleum Products from Apapa to Kaduna and Kano for Oando
- Guinness Products from Ikeja to Kaduna for Eddie International
- Ductiles Pipes from Apapa to Gombe for Nalado Company
- Billet from Apapa to Bukuru for Zuma Steel Company
- Parcels from Iddo to Kaduna, Zaria, Kano for various customers
- Fertilizer from Apapa to Kaduna for Northern States
